This'll be a basic introduction to the video games and more. And by basic I mean the most in depth basic introduction you'll ever see in your life. XD
That way I can try to turn some of you into Pokemon trainers :3 Or maybe into more hardcore players if you already play the game.
I'll start with the very basic stuff ((No, that does not include me explaining what a Pokemon is)), then onto the other stuff...
So without further ado...

Pokemon 101
Types:There are the 18 following types. Each type is weak to other certain types, and strong when used against the types weak to it. The best and easiest example, is the Water-Fire-Grass circle: Water beats Fire. Fire beats Grass. Grass beats Water. In this example you can tell it's logical which types beat which. Now to further clarify, if a Water type Pokemon was attacked by a Grass type move, it would be "Super Affective" due to Water's weakness to Grass type. But if you were to attack a Fire type with a Grass type attack, it would say "It wasn't very effective...". A standard attack to a Pokemon from a type that it wasn't Weak or Strong against, would be called, x1 damage. A type it is strong against, x0.5And a type it's weak to, x2
